Learn MoreAbout the Ambassadors Program
The IEEE IES East Africa Innovation Summit 2026 Ambassadors Program was an open call for passionate individuals — students, young professionals, and engineers — to represent the summit in their institutions, universities, and communities across East Africa and beyond.
Ambassadors played a critical role in spreading awareness, mobilising participation, and building the network that makes this event possible. Selected ambassadors were part of a close-knit cohort with direct access to summit leadership, exclusive pre-summit sessions, and recognition at the main event.
A key part of the ambassador mandate was championing the IEEE IES Hubs & Nodes initiative — the Society's flagship programme for connecting regional chapters, researchers, and industry practitioners across Africa and beyond. Ambassadors served as on-the-ground advocates, introducing peers, institutions, and local communities to the Hubs & Nodes mission: democratising access to world-class industrial electronics knowledge and creating pathways for African innovators to engage with a truly global network.
