What It Is

A Flagship Event for East Africa

The IEEE IES East Africa Industrial Innovation Summit 2026 is a 2-day flagship event held in Nairobi, Kenya — positioning IEEE as the catalyst for Africa's industrialisation, innovation, and technological leadership. It brings together the brightest minds from across the continent and the globe for an immersive experience of learning, collaboration, and impact.

From keynotes and reverse pitching sessions to hands-on workshops, a startup showcase, and an East Africa Chapters Meeting, the summit is designed to spark the connections and ideas that will shape the region's industrial trajectory for years to come.

The summit is powered by the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society (IES), the IEEE Kenya Section, and the IEEE IES East Africa Chapter, with the support of leading universities, industry partners, and global IEEE bodies. At its core, the summit is made possible by IEEE IES Hubs & Nodes — the Society's global network initiative that connects regional clusters of chapters, researchers, and industry practitioners. As the platinum sponsor, Hubs & Nodes brings world-class industrial electronics expertise directly to East Africa, turning a global vision of inclusive innovation into a tangible, local reality.
